Maroons Down Hawks Tuesday Night

In a game heard Tuesday night on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons clipped the Riverton Hawks, 63-27, in non-conference action.

Clinton jumped out to the lead on a Mason Walker three pointer on their first possession, and then never trailed.  They led 31-16 at half, and then outscored Riverton 23-6 in the third before pulling away for another 30-plus point win.  Clinton beat Heyworth by 34 last time out on Saturday night.

The Maroons were led Tuesday by Junior Dawson Graves with 20 points.  He was named the WHOW Serv Pro of Piatt/Dewitt County Player of the Game.  Sophomore Colton Walker & Junior Brooks Cluver each added 11 for Clinton; while Junior Mason Walker had 9 points.

Riverton was led by Antonyo Davis with 8 points.  The Hawks fall to 1-7 with the loss.

Clinton improves to an impressive 8-1 under Head Coach Vic Binkley.  They'll host Argenta-Oreana Thursday night at CHS.

Our next Maroons broadcast on WHOW comes up Saturday evening at 5:30pm as Clinton travels to Tri-Valley.
