HS BBALL: Maroons Hold Off Tri-Valley For Tenth Win

In a game heard Saturday evening on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons held off the Tri-Valley Vikings, 61-54, in non-conference boys basketball action. 
 

Clinton jumped out to a 21-11 lead at the end of the first quarter, and led by as much as 15 throughout the game.  However, Tri-Valley cut the lead to 4 with one minute remaining.  The Maroons hit some timely shots late to hold onto the 7 point win. 
 

Clinton was led by Junior Dawson Graves, who poured in 33 points.  Junior Mason Walker added 13, and was named the Serv Pro of Piatt/DeWitt County Player of the Game.  Junior Brooks Cluver added 7. 
 

The Vikings were led by Junior Kyler Zook with 13 points.  Sophomore Brayden Stombaugh added 11.  Tri-Valley falls to 4-6 with the loss. 
 

The Maroons improve to 10-1 on the year, and now take some time off. They'll next play December 26th at the Monticello Holiday Hoopla.
