Clinton's Scott Webb Signs to Play Football at Western Illinois

Clinton High School football star Scott Webb signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at Western Illinois University on National Signing Day.

Webb says his recruitment to Western started over the summer and he knew it was a real possibility to play there on his second visit.

Webb says he enjoyed the campus and that it isn't a big campus. The program is in the midst of a rebuild and he looks forward to being a part of it.

Clinton High School football Coach Ron Bass calls Webb a tremendous player and raved about the progress he's made in the last year. He looks forward to what he can accomplish at Western.

Webb was a first team Central Illinois All-Conference selection on both the offensive and defensive lines. He is being recruited as an offensive tackle. He credits offensive line coach Darren Moser for his influence in his development and recruitment to Western.

Webb was part of a 21-player signing class for the Leathernecks.
