HS BBALL: Maroons Clip Hawks

In a game heard Tuesday night on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons dropped the Meridian Hawks, 65-33, in boys CIC action.

Clinton jumped out to a quick lead on a Colton Walker three pointer, and never looked back.  The Maroons were up by 10 after the first, and then a late second quarter surge pushed the lead to 31 at halftime.

Junior Mason Walker paced the Maroons at both ends of the floor.  His defense and sharp shooting led to a game high 25 points, and being named the WHOW / Serv Pro of Piatt/DeWitt County Player Of The Game.  Junior Dawson Graves contributed 12 points, while Sophomore Colton Walker added 10, and Junior Brooks Cluver had 7.

Meridian was led by Senior Roy Ralston with 11 points.  Senior Brett Brown had 7 for the now 1-17 Hawks.

Clinton improves to 18-4 on the season, and 3-0 in the CIC.  They'll next travel to Tuscola Friday night for another conference matchup.

A reminder - join us Thursday night for this week's Clinton Lady Maroons Game of the Week as they host Warrensburg-Latham with varsity action around 7:30pm on all WHOW platforms.
