HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Drops Olympia

Four players scored in double figures and Maroa-Forsyth overcame a slow start to roll Olympia 71-47 in Sangamo Conference High School boy's basketball action from Maroa-Forsyth High School Tuesday night.

 

The Spartans jumped out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter thanks to Easton Nowiskie scoring seven of his eight points in the frame. The Trojans were able to cut it down to a 32-27 deficit at the break but outscored Olympia 20-7 to go up 40-34 and pulled away with a 24-8 fourth quarter.

 

Zayn Giles led the Trojans with 17 points, scoring ten of those in the fourth quarter. Grant Smith added 16 points with seven in the third quarter. Mitch Williams added 15 points and AJ Massey added 12 points. 

 

The Trojans are back to .500 at 11-11 overall and 1-1 in the Sangamo Conference. They will travel to Petersburg-PORTA Friday for another Sangamo Conference til.
