PORTA slowed down Maroa-Forsyth to roll to a 50-37 win in Sangamo Conference high school boy's basketball action from Petersburg Friday night.
The Trojans jumped ahead 17-14 after the first quarter but a slow second and third quarter allowed the Blue Jays to go 39-27 at the end of the third.
Maroa-Forsyth could not recover as PORTA held off the Trojans the rest of the way.
Mitch Williams was the only Maroa-Forsyth player to score in double-figures with 11 points.
Kaden Maurer had nine.
PORTA is 16-4 overall and 2-0 in the Sangamo. Maroa-Forsyth 11-12 overall and 1-2 in league action.
The Trojans hit the road Tuesday for more Sangamo play with Illini Central.
