In a game heard on WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, Gavin Arthalony had a double-double and scored 17 of his game-high 25 points in the second half to propel Petersburg-PORTA over Monticello 47-36 in the Illini Prairie/Sangamo Conference Shootout at Williamsville High School in boy's basketball action Saturday afternoon.

The Sages' offensive sputtered on Saturday despite 18 points from junior Trey Welter, who was the ServPro of Piatt/DeWitt County Player of the Game. Monticello shot just 31 percent from the floor. 

The Blue Jays turned ten Sages turnovers into 12 points and shot 44 percent from the floor for the game. 

Arthalony paced the Blue Jays with a game-high 11 rebounds and PORTA outrebounded Monticello 28-23. 

Monticello drops to 14-10 overall while the Blue Jays move to 20-5.
