Clinton Draws Four Seed, Will Host Regional Starting Feb. 22

The Clinton Maroons will be the fourth seed in the Pleasant Plains Sectional and will host Class 2A Regional boys' basketball action starting Wednesday, Feb. 22.

 

The Maroons will take on the winner of Maroa-Forsyth and Buffalo Tri-City on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 pm at Clinton High School. 

 

Bloomington Central Catholic, the second seed in the Sectional, will take on the winner of Warrensburg-Latham and Riverton on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6 pm at Clinton High School, with the winners to meet at Clinton High School on Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 pm. 

 

The top seed in the Section is Pleasant Plains.

 

In other quarterfinal matchups starting Saturday, Feb. 18, Tri-Valley will host Olympia, Dee-Mack travels to Williamsville, Monticello will host PBL, and GCMS hosts Clifton Central.

 

In Class 1A, Decatur LSA is the top seed in the Heyworth sub-sectional. They will host DeLand-Weldon on Saturday, Feb. 18.

 

Other Regional quarterfinal matchups in the Cerro Gordo Regional on Saturday, Feb. 18, Cerro Gordo-Bement hosts Argenta, Decatur St. Teresa is at Blue Ridge, and Heyworth hosts Mt. Pulaski.  In the Ridgeview Regional and the Heyworth sub-sectional, Lexington hosts Cullom Tri-Point and LeRoy will host Ridgeview. 

 

Tuscola is the top seed in their Regional and sub-sectional. They host Hume-Shiloh on Saturday, Feb. 18.
