HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Falls Short at New Berlin

The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans fell short to New Berlin 52-46 in the regular season finale in Sangamo Conference high school boy's basketball action in New Berlin.

 

Kaiden Maurer paced the Trojans with 18 points as the Pretzels used a big second quarter to create the separation they would hold on to the remainder of the game.

 

Mitch Williams scored 13 points for the Trojans, whose trademark balanced scoring was bottled up Thursday.

 

The Pretzels finish the regular season 25-6 overall and 8-1 in the Sangamo Conference.

 

The Trojans finish the regular season 15-16 overall and 3-6 in the Sangamo. Maroa-Forsyth hosts Buffalo Tri-City Saturday afternoon in a Class 2A Regional quarterfinal matchup hoping to advance to take on Clinton next Wednesday in Regional semifinal action at Clinton High School.
