Jackson Fricke and Landon Smith went deep leading Mt. Pulaski to a 16-1, four-inning romp over Central A&M Monday in non-conference high school boy's baseball action from Moweaqua.

Fricke added a double and a pair of RBIs. Liam Smith went 2-for-2 with a triple and a two RBIs while Chance Payne was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs. 

Evan Cooper threw three shutout innings, striking out eight and allowed two hits. 

Monday's game was the first of the season for the Hilltoppers, making them 1-0 on the young season. They will travel to Nokomis today for a non-conference matchup.
