HS Softball: Clinton Splits Pair of Sunday Games in Tennessee

The Clinton Lady Maroons split a pair of Sunday high school softball games on its spring break trip in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

 

The Lady Maroons toppled Harbor Creek from Pennsylvania 11-3 in the opener. Ashley Armstrong struck out seven across five innings in the win. She allowed three runs, two were earned, on six hits and issued zero walks. 

 

Heidi Humble paced the offense going 2-for-3 with three RBIs and scored twoice. Armstrong and Kylee Isaac finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs apiece. Armstrong, Humble, and Isaac all doubled for the Lady Maroons. 

 

Brooke Reeves was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and Alaina Soberalski drove in a run for Clinton.

 

In the second game, Nolensville from Tennessee toppled Clinton 8-1. 

 

The Lady Knights used four pitchers to limit the Clinton offense as Lady Maroons hitters struck out 13 times. 

 

Isaac drove in the only Cliton run and the Lady Maroons mustered just three hits.

Clinton continues its action in Tennessee today.
