Jack Buckalew struck out eight over six sharp innings, Colton Vance delivered a game-breaking bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning and Monticello got by Lincoln 8-1 in non-conference high school boy's baseball action from Lincoln Monday afternoon.

Buckalew mowed through the Lincoln lineup and the Sages bats came alive with a pair of runs in the third and fifth innings to go up 4-1. 

Buckalew also finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs. Biniam Leinhart finished 2-for-4 with a pair of runs.
