Okaw Valley scored six runs in the fifth inning and a seventh inning comeback fell short for Mt. Pulaski in a 6-5 loss in non-conference high school boy's baseball action from Bethany Wednesday afternoon.

Evan Cooper and Jackson Fricke finished 2-for-4 for the Hilltoppers. Fricke, Chance Payne, Luke Martin and Clayton Aylesworth drove in runs for the Hilltoppers.

AJ Bailey walked twice. and scored a run. Cooper scored twice.

Wednesday's loss was the first for Mt. Pulaski as they drop to 2-1 overall. They will hit the road to battle Decatur LSA this afternoon.
