Avery Schweitzer drove in five runs from the ninth spot in the batting order, Marrissa Miller slammed two home runs as Monticello rolled Prairie Central 20-9 in Illini Prairie Conference high school girl's softball action from Fairbury Thursday.

Schweitzer doubled and tripled finishing 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Miller finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored and also walked. Sadie Walsh, Cassiee Stoffel, Isa Beery drove in two runs apiece. 

Beery hit a home run for the Lady Sages and Emma Stoerger drove in three runs and scored three times. 

Rylee Galloway, Sam Slagel, Lauren Hoselton, Lillie Hogan, and Kyah Creek all had multiple hits for Prairie Central.

Monticello moves to 2-2 on the season and wins its Illini Prairie opener. The Lady Sages travel to Tremont Saturday morning.
