Six runs in the first inning helped Warrensburg-Latham take down Clinton 8-2 in Central Illinois Conference high school softball Tuesday afternoon at Clinton High School.

Heidi Humble Aliviyah Haynes drove in the only runs for the Lady Maroons. Haynes finished 2-for-3 while Humble finished 1-for-3. Reice McCormick was 1-for-3 with a run scored and Alaina Soberalski finished 2-for-3 for Clinton.

The Lady Cardinals hit two home runs against Ashley Armstrong. 

Warrensburg-Latham moves to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the CIC. 

Clinton drops to 3-10 and 0-5 in the Central Illinois Conference.
