A 12-run first inning propelled Mt. Pulaski to a dominating 15-0 victory over Cerro Gordo-Bement in non-conference high school boy's baseball action on Tuesday afternoon in Mt. Pulaski.
Liam Smith finished 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and Evan Cooper drove in a pair in a 2-for-2 afternoon for the Hilltoppers. Jackson Fricke added an RBI going 2-for-2 as well.
Luke Martin fired three shutout innings and struck out seven while walking one and allowing just one hit. Chance Payne closed out the win by striking out the side in a scoreless inning of relief.
The Hilltoppers go to 10-1 overall and will travel to Manito on Thursday to take on Midwest Central.
