A six-run fifth inning propelled Mt. Pulaski over Lexington 11-1 in non-conference high school boy's baseball action from Mt. Pulaski Saturday afternoon.
Jackson Fricke was 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs for the Hilltoppers. Landon Smith helped Mt. Pulaski overcome a slow start offensively with a two-run home run in the third inning. AJ Bailey was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Eric Cooper finished 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.
Smith also went five innings on the mound, surrendering a run on three hits and strcuk out three.
The Hilltoppers go to 12-1 overall. They begin another busy week hosting Riverton this afternoon.
