The Clinton Lady Maroons could not hold on to a 3-0 lead and fell to Tuscola 12-3 in Central Illinois Conference high school girl's softball action Wednesday in Clinton.

Heidi Humble doubled and homered to drive in two runs to lead the Lady Maroons. Alaina Soberalski went 2-for-3 with a run scored while Sarah Mills finished 1-for-3 for Clinton.

Ella Boyer doubled and homered to lead the Lady Warriors. Boyer drove in three and scored twice. Isabella Wilcox went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs. Ava Boyer was 4-for-5 with a pair of RBIs, two stolen bases and three runs scored at the top of the Tuscola lineup.

Clinton falls to 6-16 overall and 3-8 in the Central Illinois Conference. They will travel to Warrensburg-Latham on Friday afternoon.
