HS Baseball: Clinton Rolls Tuscola

Jack Manning pitched into the sixth inning and Colton Walker drove in four runs as Clinton rolled past Tuscola 13-3 in Central Illinois Conference high school baseball action Wednesday in Clinton.

 

Manning struck out nine in 5 2/3 innings. He allowed three runs, one was earned, walked three and permitted two hits.

 

Tuscola jumped on Clinton 3-1 thanks to a three-run second inning but the Maroons scored the next 12 runs to run away with the six-inning win.

 

Walker was 2-for-4, big brother Mason Walker finished with a double. Manning went 3-for-4 with a double for Clinton.

 

The Maroons move to 7-7 on the year and go to 6-5 in the Central Illinois Conference. They'll travel to Warrensburg-Latham on Friday.
