Emily York struck out 16 in a complete game shutout leading Bloomington Central Catholic over Monticello 3-0 in Illini Prairie Conference high school girl's softball action Thursday afternoon in Monticello.

York permitted three hits and did not walk a batter.

Reese Patton, Avery Schweitzer, and Lynnsey Trybom recorded the only hits for the Lady Sages. Schweitzer doubled.

Reese Patton allowed three runs, one was earned over seven innings. She walked three and struck out two while permitting six hits. 

The Lady Saints improve to 13-10 overall and 6-1 in the Illini Prairie Conference.

Monticello falls to 8-10 overall and 3-4 in the Illini Prairie. They return to action Monday hosting St. Joseph-Ogden.
