HS Baseball: Mt. Pulaski Blanks Cornerstone Calvary Christian Academy

Chance Payne struck out 17 acros six no hit innings in his first varsity start and drove in a run with a double as Mt. Pulaski rolled Cornerstone Calvary Christian Academy 10-0 in six innings in non-conference high school boy's baseball Friday in Mt. Pulaski.

 

The sophomore southpaw issued two walks and hit a batter in facing three over the minimum. He was 1-for-3 with a run scored, a walk and an RBI. 

 

Jackson Fricke and Clay Aylesworth also doubled for the Hilltoppers.

 

Liam Smith was 1-for-3 with two RBIs while AJ Bailey was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Luke Martin finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

 

Mt. Pulaski goes to 19-2 overall. The Hilltoppers host Illini Bluffs in Tomahawk Conference play on Saturday and then host New Berlin Monday.
