Warrensburg-Latham rallied from a 3-1 deficit and beat Clinton 5-4 in Central Illinois Conference high school girl's softball action from Warrensburg Friday afternoon.
Clinton would go up 3-1 in the top of the third inning but the Lady Cardinals answered with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to go up 4-3.
The Lady Maroons tied the game in the top of the sixth, however, Warrensburg-Latham went ahead for good in the bottom half and held on from there.
Aliviyah Haynes paced the Clinton offense finishing 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Kylee Isaac was 1-for-2 with a double and scored twice. Reice McCormick was 1-for-2 with two runs batted in.
Warrensburg-Latham goes to 17-5 overall and 8-4 in the CIC.
Clinton drops to 6-17 on the year and 3-9 in the Central Illinois Conference. The Lady Maroons are in Gibson City Saturday to take on GCMS before returning home on Monday to host Tri-Valley.
