It was another big offensive performance for Mt. Pulaski as they rolled past Athens 16-1 in Tomahawk Conference action Wednesday in Athens.

Clay Aylesworth was a triple short of the cycle finishing 3-for-4 with a homer, a double and drove in five to pace the Hilltoppers.

AJ Bailey, Chance Payne, and Luke Martin each drove in two. 

Martin, Bailey, Liam Smith, Landon Smith, and Jackson Fricke added doubles. Bailey was a home run short of the cycle as he was 3-for-4 adding a triple. 

Payne tossed four innings of one-run ball. He did not allow a hit but issued five walks to seven strikeouts. 

The Hilltoppers are 23-2 overall and finish 6-0 in the Tomahawk, winning the conference in 2023. 

The Hilltoppers are at Fisher this afternoon.
