Monticello scored eight runs in the fourth inning, propelling them past Rantoul 12-0 in five innings in Illini Prairie Conference boy's baseball action Thursday in Rantoul.

The win clinches the Illini Prairie Conference for the Sages, who wrap up the conference slate 8-1.

Ike Young was sharp over five innings. The sophomore struck out eight and allowed five hits. 

Luke Teschke was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Eli Craft was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Biniam Lienhart doubled and drove in a run while Logan Chupp was 1-for-3 with an RBI. 

Monticello is 17-4 overall. They host Warrensburg-Latham this afternoon at Monticello High School.
