Ashley Armstrong struck out nine across four perfect innings and the Clinton Lady Maroons blasted Decatur St. Teresa 18-0 in a run-rule, four-inning win in Central Illinois Conference girl's softball action Thursday in Decatur.

Heidi Humble homered and drove in three for Clinton. Avery Smith was 2-for-4 with two doubles and drove in four runs. Alaina Soberalski, Aliviyah Haynes, and Mea Kivlehan drove in two runs apiece.

Clinton goes to 7-20 overall and 4-10 in the Central Illinois Conference.

They travel to take on Champaign Centennial on Monday.
