The Blue Ridge Lady Knights used a nine-run second inning to route Decatur St. Teresa 16-1 in a four-inning, run-rule Regional Class 1A quarterfinal matchup in Farmer City.
Lily Summers drove in four runs and tripled as part of a 2-for-4 game. Cassie Zimmerman was 1-for-2 with three RBIs. Presley Hardesty and Carsyn Stiger drove in a pair while Ellie Schlieper tripled and drove in a run to help her own cause in circle.
The Lady Knights walked nine times and struck out just twice on the game.
Schlieper struck out six, walked one and permitted just two hits in four innings of one-run ball.
Blue Ridge is 12-13 overall. The Lady Knights will battle top-seeded Heyworth tomorrow (Tuesday) in Regional semifinal action at Heyworth High School.
