Clinton High School Gym Getting Major Facelift

When you walk into the gym at Clinton High School this fall, things will look dramatically different.

On the WHOW Morning Show Tuesday, Clinton Schools athletic director Matt Koeppel told Regional Radio the gym already has the old wooden bleachers torn out and the floor is getting worked on now. He notes this is a part of a very  busy summer at Clinton High School.

Koeppel indicates because all the work is concentrated to the commons and gymnasium area of the school building, it is impacting other aspects of regular summer business in the school. He notes though things are going well right now and are so far, on schedule.

For the district, they hope to have these projects done for the start of school but in the event things are not ready, Koeppel has backup plans ready to go.

The summer is the first step in what is likely to be a rather extensive overhaul of the school's athletic facilities over the next several years. We'll hear more from Koeppel on that in the days ahead in sports on Regional Radio.
