Clinton High School Football Coach Looking Forward to Busy July Football Schedule

When we turn the calendar to July next weekend, the business of the high school football season kicks into high gear.

Between 7-on-7s, weight lifting and new contact schedules, football coaches seem to have more flexibility this year. Clinton High School football coach Ron Bass indicates they will go to the popular Normal West 7-on-7 to kick off its July schedule then host an event later in the month.

New to the high school football schedule this summer will be the addition of 11-on-11 competitions. Coach Bass also points out the IHSA is allowing for inter-squad practices this year.

Coach Bass is really excited about this year's group. He has seen incredible buy-in during the weightlifting sessions in addition to having a great deal of experience back from last year.

The Maroons open the season when they host Tremont on August 25.
