The winter high school sports season tips off tonight as girl's basketball tournaments get underway across the state.

Clinton will host again, its annual Turkey Tussle Holiday Tournament. Things tip off tonight with Peoria Christian taking on Petersburg-PORTA starting at 5:30 pm.

The Lady Maroons battle Olympia at 7 pm tonight. Hear tonight's opener on WHOW and all its digital platforms.

The pool-play tournament resumes on Tuesday. The 'Cranberry' pool has Decatur Eisenhower and Eureka joining Clinton and Olympia.

The 'Stuffing' pool has Dee-Mack and Decatur St. Teresa joining Petersburg-PORTA and Peoria Christian.

Pool play continues on throughout the week at Clinton High School with the placement games on Saturday starting at 1 pm and the championship game at 5:30 pm.
