HS GBBall: Late Clinton Rally Falls Short to El Paso-Gridley

A late comeback by the Clinton Lady Maroons fell short as El Paso-Gridley held on for a 47-46 win Monday night in non-conference high school girls basketball action from Clinton High School.

 

The Lady Maroons trailed 32-23 at halftime and then 41-31 after the third quarter. 

Clinton then outscored EP-G 15-6 in the fourth quarter as its comeback attempt came up short. 

 

Carly Anderson scored 11 points to lead Clinton and Clara Dempsey added 10 points. Reagan Filkin scored seven points while Heidi Humble and Makayla Koeppel scored six points apiece.

 

El Paso-Gridley goes to 8-1 overall while Clinton drops to 6-6. 

 

The Lady Maroons travel to Riverton Wednesday and then travel to Tri-Valley on Thursday to wrap up the pre-Christmas slate of its schedule.
