HS GBBall: Monticello Upsets Clinton; Lady Maroons to Play for Holiday Hoopla Championship Thursday

Monticello upset Clinton 49-42 in overtime in the final game of pool play on Wednesday afternoon in day two action of the Monticello Holiday Hoopla.

Despite the loss for the Lady Maroons, they will still compete in the tournament's championship game Thursday night in the Sievers Center in Monticello. 

 

Three players scored in double-figures for Monticello. Megan Alled led the lay with 15 points. Maia High recorded a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. Ali Weidner scored 11 points for Monticello.

 

The Lady Maroons were led by Heidi Humble's 11 points. Clara Dempsey and Regan Filkin added ten points apiece. 

 

Carly Anderson grabbed a team-best seven rebounds for Clinton.

 

The Lady Maroons will take on Tuscola for the tournament championship tonight at 6 pm in the Sievers Center.
