Monticello used balanced scoring and the Lady Sages rolled to an easy 48-19 Illini Prairie Conference win in girls basketball action Thursday night in Paxton. 

Megan Allen led a complete effort with ten points, six rebounds, four blocks and four steals for the Lady Sages. Ali Weidner added nine points, Ashley Stiverson scored eight points, and Maia High scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds. 

After a slow start, Monticello led just 6-3 after the first frame and then PBL kept pace with the Lady Sages in the second quarter, trailing 23-17 but Monticello blanked PBL in the third quarter to go up 38-17 after three quarters and put the game away from there.

Monticello improves to 8-12 overall and 1-2 in the Illini Prairie Conference.
