HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Takes Down Rochester

Three players scored in double figures and only four players recorded points. Still, Maroa-Forsyth used excellent defense all night to get by Rochester 48-34 in non-conference high school boys' basketball action from Rochester Tuesday.

It was a solid showing for the Trojans, who were punching up a weight class against the 3A Rockets.

Zayn Giles scored 21 points. Caebrin Lee came off the bench and scored 15 points while Kaeden Maurer scored 10 points for the Trojans.

A big fourth quarter allowed Maroa-Forsyth to put the game away. They outscored the Rockets 22-9 in the frame.

The Trojans hadn't shot a free throw until the final quarter and closed out the game making 8 of 10 free throws.

Maroa-Forsyth goes to 11-6 overall. They open Sangamo Conference play with a matchup hosting Pleasant Plains on Friday.
