HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Rolls Pleasant Plains

Five players scored in double figures and Maroa-Forsyth rolled by Pleasant Plains 72-48 in its Sangamo Conference opener Friday night from Maroa in high school boys basketball action.

 

Zayn Giles led the way with 18 points. Kaiden Maurer added 16 points, Mitch Williams and Coby Lane each scored 12 points and Caebrin Lee added 11 points for the Trojans.

 

Maroa-Forsyth put the game away with a monster final frame, outscoring the Cardinals 27-14.

 

The Trojans go to 12-6 overall and start 1-0 in the Sangamo.

 

Maroa-Forsyth hosts Meridian Saturday night.
