HS BBBall: Maroa-Forsyth Holds Off Meridian

The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans were able to hold off a late charge by Meridian and take home a 73-67 win Saturday afternoon in non-conference high school boy's basketball action from Maroa.

 

The Trojans led 32-25 at the break and pulled to a 54-36 lead after three quarter but the Hawks put up 31 points in the final frame in its attempt to get back in the game. 

 

Sebastian Hill had 17 of his game-high 34 points in the fourth quarter for the Hawks.

 

Colton Denny scored seven of his 11 points in the final frame but those two got little help elsewhere in the fourth.

 

It was another night of balanced scoring for the Trojans. Kaiden Maurer led the way with 16 points, Coby Lane scored 14 points, Zayn Giles added 12 points and Mitch Williams and Caebrin Lee each scored 10 points. 

 

The Trojans go to 13-6 overall. They will travel to Olympia on Tuesday night for a Sangamo Conference matchup.
