The Clinton Maroons will be the fourth seed in its sub-sectional for postseason play that begins Monday, Feb. 19.
Peoria Manual is the top seed in the 2A sub-sectional followed by El Paso-Gridley and Normal U-High.
The brackets will be released this afternoon (Friday). The Maroons will either travel to Olympia or Peoria Notre Dame.
Local seeds:
Monticello received a sixth seed in its sub-sectional. They will host a Regional. Tolono Unity is the top seed in the sub-sectional followed by St. Joseph-Ogden, Shelbyville, and Maroa-Forsyth.
In Class 1A, Heyworht received the top seed in its sub-sectional followed by Lexington, GCMS, and Flanagan-Cornell.
Champaign St. Thomas More is the top seed in its sub-sectional followed by Argenta-Oreana, Salt Fork, and Georgetown Notre Dame de La Salette.
Blue Ridge received the seventh seed in the sub-sectional, Mt. Pulaski the eighth seed, Cerro Gordo-Bement the ninth seed, and DeLand-Weldon is the 16 seed.
Tuscola is the second seed in its sub-sectional.
In Class 3A, Lincoln is the top seed in its sub-sectional while Mt. Zion also received a top seed.
Decatur MacArthur is second seed, Mahomet-Seymour received a five-seed and Decatur Eisenhower a six-seed.
The brackets for the boys' postseason will be released this afternoon at 4 pm.
