HS Softball: Monticello Looking to Take Step Forward This Spring

The Monticello softball program is looking for a big step forward this spring.

The Sages return every player from last year's team and Coach Lauren Klein is excited with the returning standouts she had from last year.

Coach Klein has been very encouraged by the way the spring has started for her team. She explains with the nice weather and a nice, new all-turf field, her team has been outside a lot so far.

Coach Klein calls her team a fun group to be around and credits their desire to compete and win. She is excited for the hard work her team has put in to show up on the field this spring and hopefully lead to some excitement.

The Lady Sages open the season at LeRoy Monday and then at Villa Grove on Wednesday before its home opener on Friday against Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond.
