The Clinton Lady Maroons softball team is under a new head coach and he inherits a group that wants to get better.

Coach Shane Little comes to Clinton by way of Lexington where he coaches girl's basketball and has experience coaching softball in the summer. He likes the group he has inherited and believes they want to get better.

Coach Little has two very strong pitchers for this year and has been impressed with them early on in the practice season.

Coach Little calls his Lady Maroons squad very good at putting the ball in play and very fast. He looks forward to being aggressive with this group.

The Lady Maroons open its season Monday at Decatur Eisenhower. Clinton plays three road games next week, including a game at Coach Little's Lexington High School where he is the girl's basketball coach.

Clinton opens its home slate next Saturday morning hosting Heyworth.
