The Clinton Lady Maroons softball team opened its 2024 spring softball season explosively as they rolled to a 24-0 win over Decatur Eisenhower Monday afternoon in non-conference play from Decatur.

Ashley Armstrong struck out ten in four scoreless, hitless innings. She also tripled at the plate.

Brooke Reeves and Heidi Humble added doubles for the Lady Maroons. Reeves also stole a base. 

Clinton is 1-0 on the softball season. They travel to Cerro Gordo on Wednesday to take on Cerro Gordo-Bement.
