Ace Giles hit a home run, and Cayden Rose struck out nine in five scoreless innings as Maroa-Forsyth rolled to a 16-0 win over Meridian Tuesday in non-conference high school baseball action from Meridian.
Giles finished 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, four runs scored, and doubled in addition to his home run. Kaiden Maurer reached base four times going 2-for-2 with three RBIs, two runs scored and two walks.
Ryne Sheppard drove in three and Rose, Tate Bradenburg, and Zayn Giles added a pair of RBIs for the Trojans.
Rose finished the run-rule shortened game going five innings with nine strikeouts, allowing three hits and a walk.
The Trojans go to 2-0 on the season. They will host Tuscola today.
