Sam DesCarpentrie blasted two home runs and Normal West got in the win column with a 14-6 win over Limestone in non-conference high school boys baseball action in Normal.

DesCarpentrie drove in three runs, scored twice and walked twice for the Wildcats. Brady Hart drove in four runs going 1-for-4. Blake Crancer drove in a run and stole three bases. Jaxson Crancer hit a two-run double.

Alex Olson went 4 1/3 innings allowing five runs, three were earned, on six hits with seven strikeouts and walked three. Sam Beirne threw 1 2/3 scoreless relief and Leif Blair finished out the game allowing a run in the seventh.

Normal West goes to 1-4 overall. They head to Gulf Shores, Alabama next week for a spring break trip south.
