HS Baseball: Clinton Burries Meridian


The Clinton Maroons did very little wrong at the plate Tuesday as they buried Meridian 19-0 in four innings of a Central Illinois Conference win from Meridian.

Mason Walker paced the Maroons' offense going 3-for-4 with five RBIs and four runs scored.

Brooks Cluver finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Brock Wilson was 4-for-5 at the top of the lineup with three runs scored, a double, and RBI.

Colton Walker also finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Joash Bass and Jack Manning drove in a pair of runs while Ryne Pine and Jon Smock recorded RBIs for Clinton.

Preston Curtis pitched three scoreless innings with two strikeouts and allowed three hits. Cluver struck out one and walked one in an inning of scoreless relief.

The Maroons go to 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the CIC. They are scheduled to play today at home against Williamsville.
