Lincoln used a balanced offensive attack to take down Rochester 6-2 in Central Illinois Conference boys baseball action from Rochester Friday afternoon.
The Railsplitters jumped out to a 6-0 lead after five and never relinquished it.
Wyatt Mammen struck out six in 4 2/3 innings. He permitted two runs on four hits and walked four. Colby Glenn struck out four in 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Griffin Shaw was 1-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, and walked twice for Lincoln.
Jarrett Evers was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. The Railsplitters got RBIs from Trey Schilling, Brenden Wurth, Michael Lucas, and Drew Hayes.
Lincoln is 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the CS8. They take on Pawnee today (Saturday).
