Riley Hendren doubled twice and drove in two runs, and Anthony Gura drove in three runs as Normal Community used a fast start to get by Champaign Central 9-1 in Big 12 high school baseball Monday in Champaign.

Hendren was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in addition to his two RBIs. Gura was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Kaileb Hackman drove in two finishing 2-for-3 on the afternoon. 

Ethan Eberly went four innings of shutout ball for Normal. The Louisville commit struck out eight, walked one, and permitted three hits.

Kyle Beaty struck out three in two innings of one-run relief. Brady Burkhart closed out the win with a scoreless inning.

The Ironmen are 13-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Big 12. They will host Champaign Centennial for the first of two matchups in Big 12 play this week.
