HS Baseball: Normal West Falls to Champaign Central

Normal West could not hold an early lead as Champaign Central rallied past the Wildcats 11-7 in Big 12 baseball action Wednesday in Normal.

 

Sam DesCarpentrie doubled twice and drove in a run while Blake Crancer doubled and Bradyn Whitehead had an RBI for the Wildcats offensively. 

 

Normal West put a five-spot in the third inning to take a 5-2 lead but the Maroons got all five back in the fifth inning and added four more runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

 

With the loss, Normal West drops to 8-6 and 4-1 in the Big 12. They return to action traveling to Champaign to take on Central again on Friday.
