Josh Roper struck out 11 in four innings and Normal Community scored seven runs in the fourth inning to roll to a 12-1, five inning run-rule win over Champaign Centennial in Big 12 high school baseball action Wednesday in Normal.
Roper allowed a run on one hit and walked just one in four innings. Kaileb Hackman struck out all three batters he faced in a scoreless inning of relief.
Luke Drengwitz drove in two runs while Anthony Gura doubled in a run. Parker Michels, Jack Richards, Ryan Theile, Owen Cavanaugh, Joshua Eisfelder, and Dexter Niekamp all had RBIs for the Ironmen.
Normal goes to 14-0 and 4-0 in the Big 12. The Ironmen travel to Champaign on Friday to take on Centennial again.
