Illinois State baseball topped Western Illinois 7-4 at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium in Macomb. 

Junior Carter Monke got the midweek start, going 4.1 innings with six strikeouts for the Redbirds (18-12).

Sophomore Daniel Pacella had three hits and an RBI as the Redbirds pounded 10 hits against the Leathernecks (6-22).

Freshman Matthew Donnison recorded 3.0 innings of scoreless relief.

Illinois State is scheduled to travel for a weekend series in Evansville from April 12-14 against the Purple Aces.
