Cassie Zimmerman was a single short of the cycle and paced Blue Ridge to an easy 17-2, four-inning, run-rule win over Broadlands-Heritage Friday afternoon in Lincoln Prairie Conference high school softball action.

Zimmerman doubled, tripled, and homered in a five RBI effort. Karlee Fenton and Sierra Watterson drove in a pair for the Lady Knights. Addison Roos, Lily Enger, and Ellie Hayward drove in runs as well.

Ellie Schlieper struck out eight in four innings of two-run ball. She permitted four hits with zero walks.

The Lady Knights are 8-14 overall and go to 2-7 in the Lincoln Prairie Conference. It's off to postseason play for Blue Ridge when they take on Decatur St. Teresa Monday in Regional quarterfinal play.
