Hayden Romano pitched four innings of one-run ball leading Monticello to a 6-1 win over Okaw Valley in a final tuneup before Regional play this week from Bethany.
Romano allowed a run, one hit, issued one walk and struck out four.
Dylan Brown paced the Monticello offense going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Luke Teschke was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI while Colton Vance drove in a run for the Sages.
