Riley Hendren drove in three runs and two Normal Community pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout Wednesday in an 11-0 win over Danville in Big 12 Conference high school baseball action from Normal.
Hendren's two-run home run in the first inning helped Normal Community jump out early. Kyle Beaty added a two-run shot in the second inning.
Luke Railey, Owen Cavanaugh, and Luke Drengwitz added RBIs for the Ironmen. Kaileb Hackman hit a double and stole two bases while Dexter Niekamp hit a triple.
Luke Klunke struck out five in three hitless innings. Jack Richards fired two scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts and permitted two hits.
The Ironmen tie a school record for wins going to 30-3 overall and stay undefeated in the Big 12 Conference at 12-0. They travel to Lincoln-Way Central this afternoon.
